Architecture and its discourse have historically been dominated by men, and women have faced numerous obstacles to enter and develop. However, in recent decades, there has been a continuous effort to look for the traces of female architects in our histories to make gender disparities in the discipline visible. The article seeks to delve into the worrying situation of disparity in registration between men and women in architecture, and how this is reflected in disciplinary publications. The main objective of the article is to examine the visibility barriers of female architects in architectural publications in Chile, focusing on the cases of the CA trade union magazine and the independent magazine AUCA. Through a quantitative and critical analysis of both archives, the aim is to identify the omissions of female architects in the configuration of the Chilean architectural discourse between 1965 and 1989. The results will allow obtaining a diagnosis of gender disparities in architectural publication, thus contributing to a broader understanding of the role of women in Chilean architecture, while recognizing that this disparity is a structural problem, reflecting broader social, cultural and economic factors.
