Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the presence of a migrant from the Prussian
state, who came to Mexico in 1844, who managed to establish himself as a wealthy
merchant in the second half of the nineteenth century, through networks of country
and family who helped consolidate Carl Hypolite Haghenbeck Braunwald, in the
world of the clothing and haberdashery trade business in Mexico City.
