Abstract

Nowadays, an organization which is willing to adapt to changes, will be faced to constant processes of improvement due to a more demanding and changeable market and in which the company seeks to differentiate from the rest and take advantage of it. Nearly a third of the customs agencies of Valparaíso do not have this certification, therefore, it is a disadvantage at the moment of competing in the market. Considering this problem, the purpose of this investigation is to propose a quality management model for these customs agencies of Valparaíso based on the standard ISO 9001/ 2008. In this way, make a contribution so that the companies can be sure that they have not only, a solid quality system, but also one of international level.
