Abstract

This text raises the following question: Does the trained body respond to its submission and recover its political power through performative practice? The text proposes a reflection on how heterohegemonic discourses differentiated individuals into categories that colonized the body. Particularly, she is interested in the epistemological change in the representation of women's bodies that put their training in crisis and brought the political body to the stage through performance. Therefore, we propose how, through performance, visual artists dismantled the articulation of the official discourse and resignified the social imaginary.
