Mallarmé's writing offers a radical experience of reality. In his poems one experiences the rhythm or vibration of things, an oscillation between weight and lightness, between what goes down and what goes up. Based on this consideration, these notes examine this dialectic from the relationship that Mallarmé creates between a vertical line and an oblique line.
