Abstract

The Orongo Ceremonial Village is one of the icons of Rapanui archeology. Its intensive public use and the fragility of its architecture make its conservation a permanent problem. The data that explain its precariousness are analyzed, the interventions carried out are evaluated and measures are proposed for a comprehensive conservation in the long term.
