This document wants to value the submerged heritage that the bay of Valparaíso has, by explaining how this city that is an amphitheater to the sea, and that was the jewel of the Pacific Ocean, is born in part from the history of the ships that for various reasons rest on the bottom of the sea and have become a living but hidden vestige of the history of the city of Valparaíso. Due to the advances of technology in new underwater scanning equipment, photography, videos and special
diving equipment among other things, plus the work of divers and historians all that was hidden has been possible to make it tangible from the 90s to date. For this reason, we will mention four shipwrecks of great interest that are currently duly identified and are of relevance to the history of Valparaíso, without a doubt there may be others more important but they are not in as good condition as those detailed below. Then this job is just the front door to see the relevance and
importance of valuing the underwater heritage of the bay of Valparaíso.
