This article about LILIANA ANDARIZA ARAVENA, the artist and her work, has the purpose of providing a more intimate and detailed vision of the person and her plastic work.
A language has been used that, without being journalistic, motivates the reader's curiosity and encourages him to delve into the motives and meanings of an artistic work, behind which dwells a being with dreams, fears and visions, perhaps chimerical, which he captures on the fabric using the best techniques and artistic tools available. The text invites a more sensitive and human knowledge of the beach painter, whose personality characteristics, shy and absorbed in a spiritual world, are an incentive for the spectator's curiosity.
This writing divided into two parts, in the first part it addresses the presentation of the artist, her training and career, emphasizing the pictorial technique learned from her teacher; the development of his plastic work, the acknowledgments received and the universal and human message that his painting carries.
In the second part there is a brief but not futile analysis of five paintings whose object is the constructions of Valparaíso, the artist's hometown. The message that is perceived in this personal record is absolutely subjective. It presents us with a gray and desolate city, uninhabited, practically empty, in which only the clothes hanging on windows and clotheslines give an account of the human presence.
