It is widely shared in various areas of research and knowledge that the oneiric act participates in various processes of growth, identity construction and development of consciousness of all people
(Varela, Álvarez, Calvo, Bergson, Dufourmantelle, Michelson among others), but why is it pertinent to insist today on the question of the oneiric act?
Apart from the hegemonic vision that the fields of psychology, neuroscience or philosophy install as an explanation of the oneiric act, there are other speculative perspectives and worldviews that would allow us to broaden the notions of the oneiric act and its contribution to people's lives. The present essay intends to shift, outside the traditional limits, the question of the oneiric act in the field of people's health: Is dreaming a salutogenic act, can the oneiric act contribute to people's well being?
This text aims to address some issues that allow to broaden a look at the dream act, its possibilities and reading outside the hegemonic perspective, installed mainly from traditional science in contrast to other knowledge and forms of knowledge in performativity and housed in indigenous worldviews, in order to give place to the dream act, from this perspective, in the lives of people as an instrument for good living.
