The heart and its visionary quality

This article, based on research from a variety of sources, posits the existence of a perceptual capacity or “vision” linked to the heart. Key references explored are: ancient Egyptian mythology and religion, the Sufi Tradition, as well as the works of Carl Gustav Jung and James Hillman, which offer important allusions to the heart. The objective of this exploration is to identify connections or commonalities that allow us to introduce the notion of the heart as an organ of subtle perception.
