Abstract

The article is the result of an investigation carried out in the cities of Quillota and San Felipe, Valparaíso Region, to show the degree of representativeness that the local press has with its community. In order to understand the representativeness, a descriptive study is carried out, applying a structured survey to the readers of the newspapers to get closer to the community and observe the reality. This technique allowed to appreciate the responses of the recipients, to calibrate it statistically and to link to the reality treated by both newspapers in the respective communes.
