Reflexiones en torno a la enseñanza de la arquitectura de primer año ante la pandemia

Abstract

The irruption of the distance learning modality as a result of the pandemic invited us to redefine previous study topics specified for the first year, but more profoundly it stimulated us to question the very structure of the workshop, in its historical role as a place -face-toface-since where you learn and approach architecture in a practical way. As a strategy, faced with this scenario, we decided to situate ourselves conceptually and physically from the threshold, where the impossibility of leaving our homes invited us to unveil and look at the daily interior living space as a transcendental project opportunity, requiring greater precision, from for a contemplative, critical and reflective posture in the face of what is already known.

This idea of specifying from everyday life, as a state and permanent action, is undoubtedly one of the great changes and contributions brought about by virtuality, which involved an individual and collective effort to conceptualize, represent and materialize ideas with greater accuracy.
