About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Academic journal focused on problems about the wide subject of childhood and its relation with education sciences (linked with humanities, social sciences and health sciences) always from a critical perspective from which to project an educational process oriented towards the search of a larger social justice.
Although IEYA only accepts original and unpublished work, it is open to the presentation of works with different narrative styles. “It is a common discourse from the Academy (power discourse) to reduce reality to aspects expressed in an academic format or appearance. What cannot be mentioned under a bibliographical citation normally gets excluded” (Bonafé, 1994: 59). Human beings are, by nature, narrative beings. An animal that tells stories that, to a great extent, come from the social and cultural world (Polkinghorne, 1988). This is the reason why IEYA admits traditional scientific stories, biographies, autobiographies, fictional autobiographies (among other narrative styles).
