Resumen
Introducción: la cirugía de adecuación genital de género en mujeres trans puede mejorar su calidad de vida y función sexual, pese a los riesgos pélvicos que implica. El aumento de la demanda y acceso a la intervención quirúrgica denota la necesidad de brindar una atención sanitaria integral.
Objetivo: establecer el impacto de la cirugía de adecuación genital de género en la salud pélvica, función sexual y calidad de vida de las mujeres trans entre los años 2014 y 2024.
Metodología: metodología tipo cualitativa, con un enfoque documental de análisis hermenéutico scoping review en las bases de datos Pubmed, Scopus, Web of Science y EBSCOhost.
Resultados: se evidenció una reconstrucción genital con viabilidad tisular, preservación de sensibilidad erógena y reducción de complicaciones quirúrgicas lo que refleja la eficacia técnica de la cirugía.
Conclusión: la cirugía de adecuación genital tiene un impacto positivo en la satisfacción sexual y la percepción de identidad corporal, así como una mejora en la dinámica urinaria y reducción de molestias pélvicas, confluyendo en un incremento de la calidad de vida manifestado por bienestar psicológico, autoestima, reducción de disforia de género y relaciones afectivas.
