Abstract

Children`s, while exploring the world and its diverse ecosystems, gradually but inexorably create networks of relationships with themselves and with other people. These relationships weave complex and dynamic networks that require them to pay attention to subtleties in order to orient themselves, understand, choose and resolve with relevance. They can do so without major problems because they can learn without major difficulties; however, and depending on the sociocultural context, they may encounter impositions of various kinds that confuse, weaken and repress them. School is one of the institutions that negatively affects the propensity to learn because it has confused educating with schooling. To educate is to create; schooling, on the other hand, is to repeat, which entangles and disrupts children's potential, causing undue, unjust and unacceptable harm.
